Hayes Street sign

An Update in Two Parts

Fall is underway, and that means the warm-cozy-blanket-hoodie-fireplace season is here! And wouldn't you know it, this chandler/reporter is currently snuggled in with a doggo on the couch, a fire roaring in the fireplace, and a true crime documentary on in the background. Yay, fall!

Scott the schnocker dog laying on a grey couch. There is a fireplace in the background, with a tv on, too. The author of this blog (Margie of Hayes Street Candle Company) is covered under a grey blanket, but you can make out the shape of her feet.

Today, a friend sent over an image of the sign from my old neighborhood street (it's the one pictured in this blog). She also included a photo of the house I grew up in, which was pretty cool to see how nice it looked. It was different from when I lived there, but it's lovely to see someone else making their own positive changes to something that brought me many good memories.

In other news, things have been trucking along over here in Ferntucky. I've been busy getting things going for the end of the year, adding additional events, updating product images, working with a friend to get a new website, etc. All of the things.

Two notable updates:

  1. My products are officially available at a retail location in Ferndale, It's About Time Cultural Arts Center!
  2. There was a lovely article about me in the local newspaper! It was a pleasure to meet the reporter, Racquel Muncy.

Stay tuned for additional updates on my website. I'm continuing to add a few last-minute events, so make sure you check it out.

Happy f'all, y'all!
